I work at a production company and one of my shooters reformatted and recorded over a XQD card that had not been backed up yet. Is there anyway to attempt to recover the footage? Years ago, I used RED UNDEAD and it worked ok.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!!

I think if the card has been reformatted and overwritten I think you have a problem. A colleague mentioned this software as working on XQD cards but I have no personal experience with it so for what it's worth here's the link. $40 worth.

I just had a very positive experience with Data Recovery Wizard: my card was corrupted and couldn't be read, this 80eur software gave me back all my clips from a two-day eight-people shoot.

Not if it's been recorded over. Once that happens, previous data is gone-gone.

Formatting without recording can be recovered, corrupt can be recovered - but recorded over cannot be recovered.

As long as they didn’t record over the whole card, you may be able to recover some footage.

I did data recovery on a card that i had used multiple times and ended up recovering some old files i had long forgotten about.

So, if it is worth even getting one short clip recovered, might as well try.
