    Nikkormat, FM2 FM2n F3 F4 D1 D3 D80 D90 D100 D600? 20Lenses How could that be?

Nikons have decent control, start up fast and a bunch of stuff -

For example My cohort Paul (a canon guy) shot on my GH4 last week (video) and agreed with my that it is just sluggish/useless. On the Gh4 we press the record button, and nothing happens. We press it again.. then nothing happens.. because we have pressed record and then stop. Nikon and Canon are responsive.

Im very disappointed with nikon in that while they make stills cameras capable of shooting the olympics at the highest level - not so for video cams.

NEFs are better files than ALexa - I want to shoot nef.

Where is my D5 with a bolt on bottom that has XLR and a nef recorder and SDI out (Yagh done properly)

Where is the nikon Z6 adapter with ND?

Nikon are committing suicide while they don't address the fact that most stills pros are now getting asked for video.

    So Im on the fence.

I was told I was a Non-Stick tinfoil hat legend on the other thread when I dared to bring it up.

In any case, 12-bit ProRes Raw is supposed to be coming to Z6 this decade via Atomos Ninja 5.

(Other brands may also be trying something similar).

Rented a d850 for a job a few months ago and just adored it... it helped me realize what a toy my GH cameras have been for photography (althought they've worked fine for video). I've liked the unofficial examples.

Because of that, I've been watching the Z6 with interest... I already have enough Nik glass... but that whole single memory card, recording time limit, and thoroughly piss-poor internal audio circuitry have held me back from officially making the switch.
