That was probobly my favorite thing i've seen on dvxuser (and i've been a member for awhile). It was incredibly simple (not at all an insult) and well executed. It did something that very few other member films have done for me- i bought the story/world you have created.
I am always trying to think of dynamite story ideas, usually throwing many out because they arn't "fresh" or "original" (who wants to just remake a story). Often times i try so hard to come up with something original that my stories get too far fetched and way to out there (especially on my budget).
Anyway my point is, what you've made me realize is the fresh ideas arn't the far fetched but the simple truths that make up life. In summary i loved your piece, keep up the good work, and lets see another.came close to the utmost, but no cigar.

Hmm, wonder why the thread keeps getting 86'd? I've seen the short before, and LOVED it. Up there with one of my favorites as well for feel, etc.
One thing I really like about Disjecta's stuff, is I can watch it & have my kids come into my office & I don't have to worry about QUICKLY pausing it, turning down the speakers, etc, as I've had to with some other shorts before.Norm Sanders

Believe it or not, John, I never thought for a second it was you.
I'm guessing it's just gotten caught up in some mass cleaning's ... probably an oversight.Norm Sanders

That was good. Well shot, well edited, excellent PV, great job all around. I really liked how simple it was, but yet it had little speckles of spice in it that made it stand out (i.e. the fast motion of the car and taking out the food, the newspaper punch-in, which by the way, how was that done?) Also, I didn't recognize the editing system you were using. What other post tools did you use?
