Blackmagic Design does not sell a particular version of Resolve, (up to now at least) the license has been for the product, not for any particular version.

Ahh, the first link shows it for sale, but when you download, it shows that it is in beta. Ok, that's a relief. I was thinking they were rushing a release. When I downloaded it, it was clear on the main page that it was the beta you were downloading. It said nothing about it being $299.

Though one can purchase DaVinci Resolve Studio 16, it's still beta version. For registered users of previous versions of Resolve Studio, upgrade to newer versions is free (and so is downgrade to older versions).
I started with Resolve 12.5, first the free version and then to the Studio version, upgraded to 14, 15 and now on 15.3.1. I'm in no hurry to upgrade to 16.

I'd like a Resolve forum too.
