I'm trying to find the best way to power my PXW-Z280's with a VLOck - I currently have a second hand plate that sits on a shoulder mount, but it came with no cables - it has a DTap (14.4v), 12V, 8V outputs.
I know Doug Jensen has in the past sold the EXDC1 - XLR to Sony DC adapter which could work with a VLock with XLR power out and assuming it would regulate the power to the camera without burning it out.

It shows on a local video store here in Melbourne, Australia but has been discontinued (https://www.videoguys.com.au/Shop/p/...ed-vexdc1.html).

I'm struggling to find that locally or a DTap to Sony DC cable that suits the Z280 - any thoughts ? Has anyone tried VLock to the 280 yet ?

does the camera not have a 12v in like the EX1, FS7 etc. If so a simple Dtap cable?

It has the yellow DC in port I believe exists on other EX cameras, and as far as I believe it's a 12V max (usually when I plug in the power adaptor it shows 11.4-11.7v) - it's just a struggle to find a DTap to DC that suits - I don't want to fry the camera ....

Also looking at Anton Bauer mounts as an alternative.
