I have an external audio interface (Presonus Studio Live Series III) which can be switched off. When rendering video with audio, does the audio interface need to be on? Id try this myself but Im on a train for the next five hours! Thanks.

If the audio doesn't disappear from the timeline when the interface is switched off, no.
