Another round of testing with the PXW-Z280.
All of the footage in this test was shot with a custom Scene File I'm working on and has not been graded, except for a couple of minor exposure adjustments in Premiere.

That poor turtle! Pretty impressive WYSIWYG look out of this camera.

the story is never black & white
it takes Smalltalk to reveal the color

I'm getting very granular/noisy images (even well lit/outdoors) - I did a green screen the other day, and I had to soften the faces in post to get rid of the grain.
I'm sure there's a good setting to get it closer to what you're getting from your camera (which look great). I generally shoot XAVC-I 1080p/25, sometimes UHD/25.

I'm on the road this week teaching an FS5 course for the US military and I don't know my Z280 settings off the top of my head. Send me a PM next week and we can compare notes. As you know, it's not just about the settings themselves, exposure and other elements play a role too.

Thanks Doug....I'm sure the pictures can be better and less granular than I'm seeing (or maybe it's my monitor) _ i'm going to look at an output from my Atomos Ninja as well to see if it's my eyes

Well, what did you find out? The more I use it, the more I'm impressed with the Z280.
