It's coming to almost exactly 2 years after FS7II release and 4 years after FS7 release.
When do you reckon we can expect a new camera that will replace FS7's?
We know that it's a money making machine for Sony but at the same time after releasing A7SIII with rumoured 10bit they may have to milk money from current FS7 owners with some new specs as well.

    Look at this:

Pro camcorder is expected to be announced on 14th of September. Could it be FS7 successor?

For me an updated sensor, whether 6K to a nice 4K or not. Dual native ISO
    Internal 4K 120p even buffered
    dual intelligent hot shoes
If possible but not necessary some form of internal raw, SRL (sony raw light) like CRL (canon raw light). Will the latter happen? I'm not holding my breathe.

first correct the 'errors' that FW could probably sort.. no Id like this in my FS7 for $500 or even $1000

allow 4 track audio each XLR at two levels
    record to two cards
cache record remembered after u exit HFR
    audio on HFR
    viewfinder on longer cable
    viewfinder chimney made for adults
sdi not downgraded when u use HDMI
    hfr less soft
    S+Q -> 4k not a menu dig
    digital punch in button
    the fatter codec

    then upgrades
    500 fps
    a bit smaller
    raw output/internal
body flipped upside down to make the thing properly mountable on a tripod!

to make a better FS7 if needs to be an F5 killer which is obviously a problem

Pretty much. I'd like to see:

    - Timecode built into the body
    - Internal raw/XOCN, or raw/XOCN direct from the camera body (without an external box hanging off the back)
    - The phase-detection autofocus (with face-detect, and eye-AF) from the A6500/A7RIII built-in for e-mount glass
    - XAVC Class480 available for up to 60fps would be great too.

Scratch everything off Sam's list, give it FS5 color and a Mediterranean code name "Naples."

FS7 was announced at IBC, so there's a fair chance its successor will be too. If the article above is correct, and a Pro camera is to be announced on Sept 14th, my guess is it will be an F series camera and not FS. The F55 was announced in 2012 so it's about due an overhaul. Hope I'm wrong and a new FS7 series camera is announced though.

I would like to see a 2K 12 bit 4:4:4 ~200mbps codec up to atleast 50p. And a sensor that could handle slog3. Dual ISO 800 and 3200 would be so great. Three xlr inputs. LUT support and sound in all recording modes. Full readout 120p (fine with 10bit 4:2:2). If they improve native viewfinder/lcd resolution and punch in res.

Full frame would also be interesting? Maybe it needs to be 6k for a decent s35 crop then?

The only important thing for an FS7 successor to have is a black ND filter knob!!!

I love the FS7II so much that there’s hardly anything that could persuade me to upgrade right now. I do wish however that they would come out with a version that had a much high resolution LCD screen and a 4K image that’s downscale to 4K to give a little sharper image. I also wish that the extra two channels of audio had their own dials on the camera body and that you could use any ISO and white balance you wanted in CINE EI mode. Give me those things plus sharper high frame rates, the ability to use S-Gamut3.Cine with Slog2 and audio at high frame rates and man, you’d have the near perfect camera; for me at least.

Oh, and internal raw would be bad to the bone, but in reality not necessary. The other things though, those would seriously help my day to day work.
