I love the way they just sort of lob it out into the elements and just about stick the landing.

Impressive that the Phantom will fly in those conditions!...It's either the Volvo Ocean Race or Whitbread or similar, but they are racing in the Roaring Forties, meaning the wind is blowing anywhere from 35 to 50 knots in that shot and the boats probably doing 12 to 18 knots...amazing footage under those conditions and drone catch by the helmsman!

Nothing like being in international waters to really let you go cowboy with the drone!

The helmsman is wearing very thick neoprene gloves where they are sailing in the clip...that water is ice berg cold...I doubt he'd even feel the prop on his hand if he misjudged, but his and the operators coordination was no small feat, especially considering how violently the boats moving as well as speed and wind strength!

They way he through it out of the cabin is so boss.
I usually take certain risks with my equipment if there is a potential for a cool shot but this makes we want to take it to the extreme. If the right situation presents itself and the shot has the potential of being really special. I have insurance so as long as every stays safe, why not.Cameras: 2x - Sony FS7, 2x - Sony A6500, Canon 5D IV, DJI Mavic Pro, Canon 5D II, Canon 60D, Canon G16, Canon Rebel XT, GoPro Hero 7, Gopro Hero 6 (RIP), 6x - GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition, Canon XL2, iPhone 4, iPhone 6, Ricoh KR-10, Fed-2, Fujica Half Frame, Canon ZR-100, Sony DCR-TRV 310.
