The chart suggest pretty meager cards for the 12:1, another thread said with current cards that 5:1 is possible? Just what I read, subject to verification. The bit rates were shown in the video when he started talking about the variable bit rate mode but I didn't study that specific portion as I'm not buying right now. Lot of things could change between when I'm ready to buy something and right now. Would love to see this in the Fuji XT3 along with "unlimited" record times, even if it cost an extra $200-$300usd as an optional purchase or a premium camera version.

How about we wait and see what Panny has up their sleeves before we put the proverbial nail in their coffin?

    Sheesh.

The chances of Panasonic implementing either BRAW, ProRes RAW or some variation of their own internally in a hybrid is pretty slim. The chances of them doing it in a firmware upgrade to an existing camera is even slimmer. Best hope would be to send RAW over HDMI to an external recorder, but that would be non-standard, and Panasonic really likes to keep to consumer standards.

BRAW is going to take you from bedroom dslr youtube poster to Roger Deakins in one step. So totally game over for Panasonic, Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fuji and Roger Deakins!

In case you haven't noticed, this sub forum is titled Panasonic GH Cameras. So the constant hyper ventilating about a camera from another manufacturer that has only recently been released, and which doesn't yet have a feature that has so many jumping up and down with uncontrolled excitement, is sucking all the oxygen out of this otherwise enjoyable forum.

    That's how......

Image quality is not a substitute for talent. If you do not have creative talent then nothing will improve your projects. Anything in the hands of a talented person will be better than the best technology in the hands of those that lack talent.
