You're wrong. There is such as thing a simple etiquette. I thank someone for holding a door open for me but I know that's not why they did it.

I'm not wrong, but either are you. We coexist.

I'm just approaching it philosophically rather than like a simpleton.

Although I don't agree with you, I don't think you're wrong in the sense that how can I tell you that your opinion is wrong in a discussion unrelated to facts? What gives me the right to do that and how am I correct?

You're telling me I'm wrong like you actually have the final say in humanity.

Nevertheless - if it needs to be reiterated - being your age and having your experience, I don't know how you can think that way.

A person who has 5 posts in 10 years - which immediately tells you what kind of forum user he or she is (at least on this forum) - didn't acknowledge your help and you complain about it.

Some people - for years - have written essays on here to help others, and barely ever receive helpful posts or acknowledgements and don't say anything.

    ---

That's all I got; no more from me.

Two wrongs don't make a right.
And I find it ironic that you took the time to post just to tell me I am wrong for telling someone else they are wrong. Well, at least I was wrong after I did something to help someone else. You just jumped into a thread and made no positive contribution to the thread at all. Now that is wrong no matter how you look at it.

Doug, I never said you're wrong. I expressed my opinion towards your actions.

All I did was mention that the OP's last activity was at the same time he/she made that post to hopefully provide another reason why he/she didn't answer, and you jumped down my throat.

It's a contribution that I hoped would enlighten others and maybe at the same time teach them about viewing someone's profile and seeing their 'last activity' before making an assumption.

You're being super defensive right now - and I apologize for even bringing it up as an intelligent conversation is just not possible at this time.
