A colleague has just completed a feature doco and is planning to screen it around the state. Most of the venues in mind are small halls and the like, so existing equipment might be patchy or non-existent.

It might be prudent for him to tour with a simple projection system - projector, his laptop for HD video files, a DVD player as a backup and a sound system with wireless microphone for audio and Q&A.

Does this sort of thing exist off the shelf or would you put it together component by component? The colleague is just after a real simple system - he doesn't want to be trouble shooting connections every second venue. Any recommendations?
