Those leaked images looked pretty "planned" but with the clearly Lumix approved neumann post... I think that's all part of the build up.

And bring it on! I'm excited. Neumann is known to use Neat Noise on his preview footage, but even so, if ISO 6400 is clean on this thing, plus internal 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 60p, IBIS, and some DR enhancment... 13 stops? 14? That is going to be on incredible camera... that even gives much more expensive cameras a serious run for their money...

Hmm...will the timecode function be with an add-on?

Gosh I hope it has improved AF or Panasonic will have adopted the Canon style of having one big "gotcha" in a an otherwise great product. If the rumors are true...

While I suppose dynamic range could be slightly improved with tweaks, wouldn't anything significant -- like a stop or two -- require a new sensor? If they go that route, they should probably implement dual readout.

I'm not an engineer, but per my understanding, I don't think. I believe this is a function of the photosite size, which is what has been dramatically increased in this new m43 starvis sensor.

Indirectly yes but directly it is related to signal to noise ratio and bit depth in processing. Theoretically with no noise and high bit depth processing you could get extremely broad DR in a tiny processor(pixels) Obviously practical applications are the limiting factor....

The rumor is this is a new sensor... much lower resolution in exchange for better high ISO performance. Rumor is also it'll lose IBIS last time I checked.

NO! that's a main sell of the GH5... always a caveat I guess...

where is this no IBIS rumor?

I guess we'll know Monday... don't see why it would have to lose IBIS

The rumors list enough features to make one wonder why they would have left out IBIS off the spec lists if it is indeed included with the camera. So no, it's not directly stated that it doesn't have ibis, but...

I think it will have IBIS. Charging $500 more for a lower megapixel cam with no IBIS for the sake of better low light doesn't make sense unless they added some great feature not yet listed.
