My bet is that it is the FS5 II, or something competitive to the C200 / EVA1. Not a DSLR.

Great! I really hope a sort of FS6 if it's not FS5 MK II, a camera that could compete with C200 or EVA1 with zoom and autofocus!

Would it be reasonable to think something that would accommodate the growing field of VR / 3D?

I don't think so, but who knows?

It's impossible to announce the A7S3. They didn't even launched the A7III yet...

The only logic camera to release is either A7III or A9S or A9R which would follow Sonys release history. Other than that it's awful crowded between F55/F5->FS7->FS5.

A FS5 mkII would need XAVC-I or internal raw and a few improved things on the camera body but this looks less believable. Or it might just be something completely new - FF sensor?

    It's the A7SIII / A9S

You wouldn't send Philip Bloom to the factory for the A7III.

Having shot some VR projects over the past two years, I am fairly convinced that VR is/was a fad as a mainstream storytelling tool. It will always be around for selected special applications and it appeals to the headset gamer generation, to a point, for certain things. Nokia just stopped making the Ozo, they have bailed on VR, there are numerous other lower end VR camera projects that never got off of the ground and I think that should tell us all something, VR is a bust for most users and consumers, other than the fringe. I've now experienced a lot of it and it's a gimmick. A cool gimmick, but a novelty at best.
Gear matters. But just a little. Story is everything.

It's probably a new HDR monitor or a radio link. If it's a camera, it'll be one of their broadcast 2/3inch chip jobbers. I can't see any new cameras in the F Series.
