This is the first time I've had to use a FS5 on a steadicam and I'm trying to figure out the most effective power solution outside of the BPU battery. I already have a v-mount baseplate with the steadicam and was hoping to stick with that method.

So to paint a clear picture with the steadicam..of course the stage has a female DC input, then at the bottom of the post, there's a male DC connector.

Here's where my confusion lies.. with the Zacuto D-tap male to DC male regulator cable, has anyone had success mounting that at the base next to the battery, using a female coupler to join that to the DC running coming from the bottom of the post? And then using a 12v DC male to male cable to go from camera to the stage?

If not, what would be an accurate/better option?
