    Wonderful news Dan, thanks.

If you're taking the temp of the market I would ask for 1920x1080 hi brite monitor. But I'm sure you hear that already.
Still, as is, the O7q is the best tool I own.

    Dear Friends,

I have noted your requests for a 5" Odyssey, a monitor free 4K recorder, and a High Brightness monitor/recorder.

    Dear Bill,

Thank you for your kind words about our Odyssey!

    Respectfully,

    Dan Keaton

Sometimes you kids drive me nuts. Dan comes on to announce a price drop and free bundled function that together amounts to an $1100 giveaway, and y'all hijack the thread to ask for other stuff.

A big thank you to Convergent Design. Used my Odyssey 7Q+ and 2 nanoFlashes today on a multi-cam shoot. The Odyssey saved my bacon big time today. Loaded up the Titan Extract HD license this evening. Pleasant end to a good day.

Highly recommend the Odyssey to anyone who doesn't have one yet. It really does up your game on many levels. Exposure tools, flexible LUT control, myraid of easily configured compatible settings, ease of recording and weighs around 1 pound versus 2 to 4 for comparable monitors (TransVideo and the like).

Yet another class act by Convergent Design. Thank you for the complimentary upgrade on both my 7q's!

    Hey Dan,

I have been an Odyssey 7Q+ owner for the last 2 years and it truly is an amazing device. I do video assist in NYC and for run and gun jobs, the Odyssey has no equal. More than that, Convergent Design has done an exemplary job maintaining their product thru firmware and feature updates.

I did have a question/idea regarding a possible feature update. What would the possibility be of adding a "Live Mute" feature to the Odyssey/Apollo? Basically, a toggle in the devices main menu that would mute the passed thru embedded when in Live or Record mode and unmute when playing back footage. This would help in sync sound scenario where the Odyssey is recording and it's outputs are feeding additional monitors on set.

Thanks and keep up the good work!
