If it's going to be advertising for Panasonic, you bet your sweet rear-end they will. Me, I could get some nice pictures of my...cat.

Not sure what lens they're using, but it's hardly fair to judge the price depending on what lens is mounted to the camera. That could go all over the place! There are $100G lenses out there. The Zacuto gear is a mix of some of their standard kit as well as some custom pieces designed for EVA1. Again, you can add much of this stuff to any camera.

...But it would be the same for any other camera with $7K+ worth of accessories attached.

EVA1 as pictured? Sure, if you want what's pictured; it's not altogether under $8000, no. EVA1, straight out of the box with whatever it comes with (top handle, monitor and arm, a battery, etc) will be under $8000. It's not a Red brain. It is a fully-functioning camcorder unibody that takes camcorder media, camcorder juice, and camcorder peripherals, but has a Super 35 sensor, a reportedly Varicam-like image, and a mount that supports affordable and easy-to-source lenses. Hell, you'll be able to buy the media and batteries at Best Buy. That's gonna be under $8000. Starting from the ground up? No, you need to buy lenses and such. You want a Gratical and other Zacuto stuff? It's more. Not sure how many of us here are starting from scratch. Stop pissing, Yuri. I, myself, have several EF-mount EOS lenses plus some PL lenses that adapt to EF. And, I have a bunch of compatible batteries. Also, a heavy Sachtler system, a comfortable shoulder-mount kit, etc. not my first rodeo. I'll be fine. We'll all be fine. A Gratical is nice to have but unneccessary to get an EVA1 system up and running.
