FWIW while I was under a NDA I asked Panasonic if they were planning a video camera that utilized the GH5's tech & was told they were not.

Check out the up-coming new Cinema Camera. http://info.panasonic.com/nab-2017.h...55SW4ySk9CRiJ9 Is this a hint of the long awaited AF200

My guess is the secret camera is using a different sensor than the GH5, possibly rejects from the Varicam line, & likely S35. I just can't imagine Panasonic utilizing a 12-stop GH5 sensor in what they're toting as a "New Cinema Camera".

Excited to see what it offers. A small S35 suited for travel may get my dollar, but will need to see what's been left off.

Yeah, if it's a S35 camera then it would have to. ( though I could see Panasonic using some of the tech developed for the GH5 in this camera )

I think, something of this could happen. What do you think? Or someone has "insider"-information about future products, based on the GH5? ;-)
    Haha, i am Nostradamus... ;-)

Ok, it was not a "quick" release. But obviously Panasonic read this thread and developed the GH5S. It takes time, no problem. But what is with the other two ideas?

It sounds like a DVX200 upgrade is coming later this year. ( AF100 is dead and buried )

    Good news, thanks!
It"s sad, but you are probably right with the AF100... More and more i think they have a secret deal with JVC. Lets see whats their next step is after the LS300.
But why not an EVA-1 with MFT-mount? Okay, with native lenses there must be a crop. But with dumb adapters or focal reducers (there is EVERYTHING on the market for MFT) it would be a great combination!
    :-(

JVC needed a better sensor to make this camera fly. The DR of the LS300 was limited like the AF100 was.
