Does the battery life take a big hit with the non-powered mics?

What about battery life in general, still on par with the gh4??

    Thanks.

    Thanks to let me know
My first test with ETC only bumped up from the 2x crop to 2.49x crop the GH4 has. It's a pretty cool feature with just one touch of the screen.

    Cheers, Pete

Can we get an official number (in frames or ms) on the amount of lag on the HDMI out when using 24hz system frequency at 4k?

An incompatibility: Canon 100-400-II with Metabones Canon T-Smart adapter. Functions normally as long as not zoomed out at all, but locks up, black screen otherwise. Hopefully MB will have firmware update.

Also, the manual suggests that native lenses with OIS (like my 12-35/2.8 v.1, and 100-300 with its poor IS) can be used in either OIS or IBIS mode, but when OIS turned off, no IBIS available. So far, IBIS only with dumb-adapted non-OIS lenses, eg. my Nikon primes, which is very good!

If you choose VLog-L in Movie mode, & then switch to Stills mode, the Picture Profile will automatically set itself to Standard. If you then change the Picture Profile to another, let's say Natural, when go back to Movie mode VLog-L has been disabled & the Picture Profile has changed to Natural also.

Not the biggest deal if you only shoot RAW, but could be a hassle for anyone capturing JPEGs, or RAW+JPEG.

Curious to know how it handles heat. If anyone shoots extra long takes in warm temps - let me know how it does.

I can't speak for the GH5 but I had a GH1, GH2, GH3 and GH4 and they never once over heated even in the middle of baking in the summer heat outside shooting all day. I will eat my hat if any GH camera ever overheats. In fact the only crashes I ever experienced were with the GH1 and that is when I hacked it and pushed it to do bitrates it wasn't really designed to do.

Gordon Laing in his recent deep-diving CameraLabs test reported that shooting 4K/50p continuously for nearly 2 hrs (128GB card filled), the body was warm to the touch but not at all hot, and still a bit of battery left. Good news!
