Thanks Paul! I will try to send GX85 test files within about 1 week.
My wife gets home tomorrow from a trip, then leaves again on Tuesday for another one. Once she heads out I should have more free time. Just me and the dogs here.

FWIW, I really love the GX85! I don't want to derail the thread, but the 5 Axis Stabilization and Dual IS (with Panasonic lenses) makes it a really fun camera to use handheld, or on a small rig (like a Zacuto Target Shooter.)
It has unlimited video recording (no 30 minute limit), a new shutter designed to reduce vibration, and no AA filter.
It is a pretty small camera with the decent 12-32 kit lens. ( I also have the 12-35 & 35-100, will use one of those for the test footage.) The big negative is the lack of a microphone jack or headphone jack. Or Cine-D.
Damn Panasonic is always crippling things. But as a preview of the GH5 it looks pretty good.
I'll send an email to sync up soon, and pencil in the tests for next Tue/ Wed/ Thur.
Thanks for all of the hard work! I wasn't around much from December through April. It is pretty amazing how the LUTs have developed into a whole system. Brilliant stuff!
Cheers,
Michael M.

For those of you using multiple camera brands (specifically Sony), I have just released some LUTs for a bunch of Sony cameras - basically all those which use Picture Profiles, ie. Cine 1 Pro, Slog2 Pro and Slog3 Pro.
Just like the GH4, G7 and FZ300 LUTs, they are designed to get your colours to align precisely with the Rec709 colour space, so if you've been looking to match cameras between Panasonic and Sony, your prayers have been answered!

If anyone is using a GoPro Hero4 (Black or Silver editions) as a B-cam on shoots, I've just released a LUT for it to compliment your GH4. You can find it on the website with the other LUTs

Hi, I'd love to know how you determined your exposure for the SoCal video. I have to video a similar event this weekend, and I won't get the chance to try things out beforehand. Did you set your Zebras for a certain amount, or simply make sure that your histogram didn't reach certain values?

Set your zebras to 105%, and follow my ETTR shooting guide, and you'll be well set to shoot with maximum dynamic range
Hope this helps!

Re GX85
This cam has no log, but it does have the grey curve interface--my question is whether you can simulate the log curve manually using the grey point and/or contrast/sat settings.HD Video: GH5, G85, ax700

Can someone clarify on the G7/GH4 whether the contrast in the cam should be 0 or -5? I'm seeing conflicting info. Tx.
