    OK, if you have a B&W monitor, the difference between F65 and NX1 will probably be marginal.

    I can't imagine going back to shooting regularly with a DSLR though.
    The C100 (without top handle) passes as a DSLR most of the time, so not much "stealth factor" to gain by using DSLR.
    But there are other aspects to using a DSLR for filming and considering the price of the NX1 the C100 (and many others) stink;)
    I admire the NX1 from a technological point of view and hope to see more videos, where it has been put to work by pros like you.
    The question really ought to be whether NX1fills two requrements -

    1) the minimum image quality/work flow required for the job;

    2) the bang-for-the-buck visavis the competing products.

    It seems that the second criterion is quantifiable while the first is fairly subjective.

    I couldn't agree more. The difference between shooting HD with a good quality HD-only camera and performing an HD down-rez from a good quality 4K source can be almost 'night & day' in terms of overall detail & quality.

    It is not fair to tease with that car footage! Sounds great.

    Damn- sold me the camera- again. Did you do a lot of grading, or is this camera as close to WYSIWYG as it gets to date? Gorgeous shots- really nice roll off regardless of stated DR the NX1 has.

    Well with the latest update, DR gamma is pretty flat, so yeah, you need to do some grading to the footage, which is good. Some contrast and saturation and done.

    Macgregor - Is that a reproduction or the real thing? Sweet either way. Love all the dents from shaping the body panels and that exhaust note. Mmmmm.....

    Macgregor, how do you like the camera handling, usability, NX1 compared to D800, which you've had?

    It's pretty decent. Easy to use, two dials, everything seems in place.
    I wish we could configure the shutter as the record button and the playback is a bit strange but other than that, great handling. Best DSLR for me right now in terms of usability/performance/price.
