    Thumbs up
Any previous user of the AF1** series bought the JVC? I like the look of it. Nice an organic and the idea that virtually any lens can be used from FF right now to 16mm c-mount format.

That camera has a very video type look to it, and poor highlight handling, IMHO.

I want to like this camera, but from nearly every example of footage I've seen I'd have to agree.

Just ordered one last week. It's scheduled to arrive today.

Was saving up for the Sony FS7 but 8 grand is just outta of reach, so I'm taking a chance with the LS300.

The highlight handling looks on par with my ol' AF100, but the JVC seems to perform better in low light. (also, supposedly boasts an extra stop and a half in DR)

My thoughts are, it should be able stop down with out too much noise in the shadows, thus protecting the highlights.

    We shall see...

I love the 4K results I get with my Panasonic GH4 so for me, a side by side comparison with the Panasonic GH4 is the kind of test I would like to see on each of the newly released cameras.

That would be a great comparison test. I suspect they are pretty similar in terms of IQ.
I considered the GH4 (being invested in MFT lenses and adapters) but I prefer the ergonomics of a bigger video camera.

The guts of a GH4 in a AF100 body..............this would have been the best of both worlds.

    According to what?
The videos I've seen look pretty good. The AF100 was hardly an Arri yet you comment here??
