    Hi all,

I thought that fellow documentarists would benefit from this "find": A website that offers cost free, royalty free, old radio programs. They are available in mp3, I think. Most are preserved in their entirety.

    http://www.related-pages.com/oldtimeradio/

    enjoy,

    andy

    Hey. Excellent find!

Although just to be 100% clear; if you really wanted to use this in a production, I'd still check deeper into its legality.

Even the site specifies: "Copyright Notice: We do not own the copyrights to any of the shows available on this site. We believe that any copyrights have expired, and that many of the shows are in the public domain because they were never copyrighted. We do not sell the recordings or charge for access to our site. We are trying to bring the exciting world of Old Time Radio to a whole new generation of listeners using the new technology of the Internet. We are not trying to deprive the original creators of any money due to them, and we will remove any recording from our site that is shown to violate a copyright. For more information about copyrights for Old Time Radio shows.....".

Just because it's online, and somewhere it says ROYALTY FREE, it doesn't necessarily mean it is.

But way cool....just listening to Benny Goodman! ;-)

    Cheers,
    Marius
