    Cool
Discovered a piece of software for writing-- Focuswriter.
    http://gottcode.org/focuswriter/

Just thought I would share the link. Not right for all, not meant for screenwriting, more for story dev or rough draft treatment, etc. I do like how it can do an F11 fullscreen with no distractions (or use windowed if you prefer) and how you can adjust the transparency of the page, use any background image, change fonts, export to text/rtf/opendoc, and how it has word count goals you can set and track your progress. Cost $0. Free, open source, for Windows/Mac/Linux.

    Features:

TXT, basic RTF, and basic ODT file support
    Timers and alarms
    Daily goals
    Fully customizable themes
    Typewriter sound effects (optional)
    Auto-save (optional)
    Live statistics (optional)
    Spell-checking (optional)
    Multi-document support
    Sessions
    Portable mode (optional)
    Translated into over 20 languages

Here is a quick fullscreen screenshot I put together this morning with some jibberish writing I made up for the screenshot LOL. What you see in the screenshot is the ONLY thing visible on the computer screen it its fullscreen mode, zero distractions.

I dunno, SHE looks a little distracting :-)
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.
