    Firmware Version 1.0.2.0 incorporates the following enhancements.
    1. Enables users to select an MP4 recording format for recording HD video.
    2. Increases the AF speed by a maximum of approximately two times.
    3. Adds an AF speed settings menu (Fast/Normal/Slow).
    4. Enhances the image quality in low brightness during HD shooting.
    5. Makes onscreen displays possible during HDMI output (for HD video only).
    6. Adds a shutter setting value (NTSC:1/25, 1/50; PAL:1/30) as a flicker reduction measure.

    Firmware Version 1.0.2.1.00 incorporates the following improvements:

    The following features are enabled when these lenses* are attached: CN7x17 KAS S/E1, CN-*‐E18-*‐80mm T4.4 L IS KAS S, or CN20x50 IAS H/E1.
    Enables autofocus using the Dual Pixel CMOS AF function. (Not applicable to the CN20x50 IAS H/E1 lens)
    Enables the joystick on the camera’s grip unit to be set to operate the zoom.
    Enables control of iris to be set to manual operation, and control of focus, zoom and iris using the separately-*‐sold Remote Controller RC-*‐V100.
    Enables automatic aperture and push auto iris functions.
    Enables retrieval of metadata, such as the model name and the focal distance of the lens attached, and display of metadata on the camera.
    *The lens firmware also needs to be updated.

    Adds peripheral illumination correction for the following lenses.
    COMPACT-*‐SERVO lenses: CN-*‐E18-*‐80mm T4.4 L IS KAS S
    CINE-*‐SERVO lenses: CN20x50 IAS H/E1

    Enables the built-*‐in monaural microphone to be set to Off.

    Caution:
    Firmware Version 1.0.2.1.00 is for updating Cinema EOS C100 Mark II cameras running firmware version 1.0.0.1.00 -*‐ 1.0.1.1.00. If your camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.2.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.
    For further information, please refer to the latest version of the unit’s Instruction Manual that is released with the firmware update.

    Preparations for a firmware update:
    After the Firmware update has been performed, the camera’s menu settings and
    Picture settings will be reset. It is recommended that users save their menu and Custom Picture settings as settings data to an SD card, separate from the one that will be used to carry out the update, before starting update operations. This saved data can be loaded into the camera and the settings can be changed after the update has been completed. For further information on this, please refer to the section in the camera’s user manual titled Saving and Loading Camera Settings.

    The downloaded firmware folder contains the firmware (File Name: VKI4.FIM, File Size: 42,532,896 bytes) and a procedure manual for updating the firmware (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish and Simplified Chinese).
    Please check the firmware update procedure manual carefully before starting update operations.

    The following items are required to perform this firmware update:
    A Cinema EOS C100 Mark II camera body
    A computer (OS: Windows or Mac OS X)
    OS Requirements: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 SP1 or Mac OS X (10.7-*‐10.11).
    A 64 MB or higher-*‐capacity SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card (both commercially available)

    *1Gamma information will not be shown correctly in the metadata of clips filmed on the Canon Log3 Gamma setting included in Firmware Version 1.0.4.1.00 and above when using the bundled software application Canon XF Utility 3.0 or earlier. Therefore, we recommend our customers install Canon XF Utility 3.1. The installer for this application has already been released.

    You cannot perform the firmware update using CFast 2.0 cards. Please use acommercially available SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card that is 64MB or more for the firmware update.
    Firmware version 1.0.4.1.00 is for updating Cinema EOS C300 Mark II camerasrunning firmware version 1.0.0.1.00 - *‐ 1.0.3.1.00. If your camera's firmware is already version 1.0.4.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.

    * There is no firmware update for other Cinema EOS products (C500/C300/C100 Mark II/C100) they can be used with the above lens without any problems.
    Changes in Firmware Version 1.0.2.1.00:
    Corrects the size of the browser remote operation screen on an iOS device running iOS 9.
    Fixes a phenomenon in which the metadata of video clips recorded in RGB444 10 bit is displayed in 12 bit.
    Modifies the display when a signal to the GENLOCK terminal cannot be synchronized; the GENLOCK icon no longer disappears, but blinks instead.
    Changes in Firmware Version 1.0.1.1.00:
    1. Fixes a phenomenon in which there are skipped frames in footage recorded in slow motion. Affected frame rates are:
