If you're into horror, and you don't know the name Adam Wingard, you're probably not as into horror as you should be.

Wingard's latest (released) horror film, "You're Next," opens Friday. Some of Adam's past work includes segments for "V/H/S" and "V/H/S 2," and the underrated "A Horrible Way To Die."

Check out a few interviews with Wingard for more info about his interesting POV on horror films…

Sorry this is a few minutes late, but I just got back from seeing "The Cornetto Trilogy" at the theater.

And in honor of "Shaun of the Dead"…

Tonight's "Dread" focuses on one of horror's greatest, yet oft-forgotten directors, Tobe Hooper.

Most people know him as the director of the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," but he's also directed the first "Poltergeist," "Salem's Lot," and horror classic "The Funhouse."

Enjoy a couple of interviews with this master of the genre…

Sorry about the dreadful delay, but we're back with a fascinating piece about the making of Kubrick's chilling masterpiece, "The Shining"…

Some of the "Dread's" earliest horror memories are not of the films, but the "hosts" who presented them. Elvira, Joe Bob Briggs, Svengoolie, and more. They introduced many a viewer to the joys of (usually low-budget) horror films.

To celebrate them, I present to you, dear reader, "American Scary," a documentary that celebrates these unsung heroes of horror…

Today's "Dread" is an easy one. Here's the reason the thread was quiet earlier this week…

Tonight, we're going to talk briefly on TDD about a horror film that most people seem to always forget about: Don't Look Now.

Directed by Nicholas Roeg, and starring Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland, Don't Look Now is a master class in creating atmosphere, skillful editing, and the development of suspense that comes largely out of the characters' psychological and interpersonal issues. And thanks to Roeg's distinctive visual flair, the film doesn't feel dated like many other films of the same era.

    It's a must-watch.
