I'm wondering whether to buy a Panasonic AG-LW7208G 0.8x adaptor or the Sony VCL-HG0872. Aparently they both work equally well on the DVX or FX1/Z1, so I'm not fussed about which brand I buy.
I've searched the net and I can't find any specs on the Pana. If anyone has these I'd love you to post them. The Sony is 550g and extends 1.8". It also comes with a lens shade.
I know there are other, wider options available. But these are full zoom through and I can pick them up online in New Zealand for a great price.
Any comparative comments, or stats on the Panny greatly apprecitated,
Josh.

The Sony is a screw on, the Pana is I believe, a bayonet mount. I own the Sony....works well on both.

There was discussion here about this a few weeks ago. I asked the same question. The response I got along with visual examples was that either of the adapters will cause significant barrel rolling in the outer fringes.
