Hi, can you tell me which has a bigger sensor betwen Sony SLT A57 and Sony HX300?

Does give better image quality Sony SLT A57 or Sony HX300 in the video ?
Is better SLT A57 or SLT A58 for video?
    Thanks

The A57 has a much bigger sensor than the HX300. Quality depends on what types of things you shoot. Smaller sensors with fast AF are often better for running around shooting what ever you see while doing an event or something of that nature.
For planned narrative style shots, the better DR and low light plus the ability to attain shallow dof on a larger sensor will be better.
The A58, while in name sounds like an upgrade...it is not. Go for the A57 between the 2. Better screen, better burst mode...just better.

I thank you. I'd like to buy A57 but I don't like its lens. I need a little bit more zoom. Can you suggest another photocamera with same image quality ov A57 for video?
I like to carry this photocamera around the world for reportage about my travels (not bulky and heavy). THANKS a lot for your help!

Well, the beauty of a camera like the A57 is that you can switch lenses and add a zoom. In that price range I would consider the Nikon 5200, t3i or the Panasonic G6 when it comes out. All of them have interchangeable lenses.

But if you want something for travel/photos lightweight, and very good video...the Panasonic FZ200 is a VERY good camera. No it doesn't have a large sensor...but as I stated before a large sensor and a bunch of extra lenses will not be ideal for capturing the moment.

Sony SLT A58 has a large sensor and a fast AF. It would be an ideal camera for me. Do you think with its lens I can take the most of the shots for my travel reports?

Personally, if I were you I would look into a better lens or 2 lens kit to take along. The camera itself is a very good camera. Buy it body only:

Add this for better quality than the kit lens:

And/or this for lots of range:

I'm sorry but I don't understand this choice. Why replace the original Sony lens with Tamron? Perhaps Tamron is better than Sony lens? Are you sure?
    THANKS

Out of curiosity: do you think Sony SLT A57 is better than Canon 600D for video?

The 17-50 2.8 Tamron is far better than the Sony kit lens. Faster aperture, better build, etc. I suggested it for a faster aperture lens, because a similar Sony zoom with a 2.8 aperture would be very expensive. I suggested the 18-200 for lots of range in one lens.

Compared to a full frame stills camera at 18mm on an A57, Canon rebel or Nikon D5200 it is roughly like a 27mm. The 55 will be like an 82.5mm. In video the lens will have a view pretty similar to what you would see on an S35 sensor.
