$99 for a silly cage? Oh please! The main asset of GoPro (a helmet cam) is it's portability. GoPro already has an attachment for a tripod (for 6 bucks). GoPro 3 doesn't even and mic in port- what do you need to add the the camera?

GoPro3 does have a mic input. Plus the $6 tripod mount is only one point of contact. If you're mounting to a car it is nice to have multiple places to attach to.

I used to think of GoPro as a niche POV camera that only appeals to extreme sports people. I was wrong & I have thoroughly changed my opinion. It is used all over the place, in many, many professional productions. If you think of it as just a helmet cam, you're thinking too narrowly.
Where are all the S-VHS hipsters?

I don't think it's a matter of not having the guts to ask about it - at least in my case I can say it didn't even cross my mind... I had completely forgotten about it until just now when I read this thread.

Not sure I'll get a chance to go by there tomorrow (I have to leave the show by noon) and I have a huge list of last minute things I still want to see... but if I get a chance I'll swing by there and ask them about it.

Anyone know how loud the One Man Crew is? Is it really quiet enough for interviews?

Look the evf deal is made...or not made as the case might be. A cheap evf is available . The chinese put redrocks evf question to bed once and for all . At 230 bucks on ebay or remoded and guaranteed for 375 , what company could intersect themselves in that profit model ? The problem , like so many these days, is the company prematurely opened their mouth.

It's nearly impossible to tell on the show floor how loud anything is, but for what it's worth I put my ear right up next to it and didn't feel like I could hear it making any significant noise. I wouldn't want to claim it was completely silent, seeing as I was in a very very noisy environment... but if it does make noise it can't be all that loud.
