Well you are all winners for getting a screenplay done. I have to say there were no dogs in this mix, so congrats, but there will always be a top a three.
1. High Roller - Egg Born Son
2. Mind Games - dtroop506
3. I...Win - Russell Moore
Congrats guys on some fun scripts!

Thanks Chris,
I appreciate being able to take part. Bit rushed for me, but it was a good experience. Thank you. No doubt see you at MP.
To all the winners, and others, well done. A fun competition.
As to new themes, sorry, I don't know how often you plan these things. Otherwise, all I can say is that we are heading into a predictable period of Halloween, so maybe you could do things differently. Eg a Halloween comp that has to be comedy, or family or slapstick etc etc I do get fed up of the usual fare at this time, but maybe thats me.
All the best
PS how is the voting undertaken for these things? Is it just writers, or can anyone read/review?

Anyone can read, but only people with over 50 posts can vote. This time it was just the writers and a few writers who didn't participate this time.

Over already? Why does this one feel lik it went twice as fast as the last one - not to mention scripts 3-times as long. Okay, I'm still gonna read a few here.

Thanks to everyone who voted, I'm humbled. Double thanks to those who commented and congratulations to Russell and David. There were no duds this time round and I honestly think a couple of you were robbed. Once again I've learnt a lot and taken the feedback on board.
As for the next fest idea, it didn't get much traction last time I raised it but GodardFest: a girl and a gun. Two resources anyone should be able to get their hands on and is embedded with the two key primal tensions (sex and death). So it should be easy to generate scripts that are filmable on any budget. Surely this is an idea that could result in increased participation and scriptfest entries rolling over into filmfest productions?

Big congratz to James and David on 1st and 2nd place...well deserved!
GodardFest....hmm...I have to admit I'm not very familiar with his work (though I probably should be), but...girls, guns, sex and death? How could we go wrong?the writer formerly known as "Conlan Forever"
