Here's a spot that I shot shortly after my fs700 came in.
The foreground is shot on epic against green screen and the background is 240 fps on fs 700. enjoy

Very cool, what speed was the foreground shot with? 120fps?

Interesting and the background looks great, though I did find the foreground lighting a bit unnatural looking since the fill level seems low for the scene and and key level seems high for someone facing a fridge. And the key light placement feels a bit odd since it is so bright and so close to the fridge and feels quite sourcey. Seems to hurt the greenscreen effect a bit but probably most people wont notice such things except maybe subconsciously.

Yes 120 as far as I remember. 240 on the FS700
well I needed to shoot 120 at an f11 to keep the product in focus so that's a hell of a lot of light. 2 5k's about 6 feet away with a fridge in the way. I feel the key is at the proper level for the scene, if I was to shoot it as it appears in real life then I wouldn't work again.

Wow f11 and 1/240th shutter is a bit of a challenge.

Oh I'm sure if you lit it as it such a scene might appear in real life it would look quite bad and at your exposure there would be no image, I hope it didnt sound like I was saying you should do that. I was just noting a stylistic thing in the lighting setup that stood out to me. That's the beauty of lighting, everyone would do it differently, obviously you need to light it especially for for a studio greenscreen shot, I just thought it might match the background a little better and feel a little more natural with more ambient/fill and a softer, lower angle key with a little more distance from the fridge and subject and with a little less intensity. I probably shouldn't give unsolicited lighting criticisms but it just came to mind. If you are happy with it and the client is happy with it that's really all that matters anyway. I'm sure there's always a tight balance between natural, motivated lighting that matches the background and the scene and that also properly exposes and highlights the product and action in the foreground.

Either way, it is a very nice looking commercial, I certainly like the high key daylit look of the background with a little hard sun.

    Hey shane.
    Nice looking commercial.
Watched the behind the scenes too.

Just wondering, how come you guys didn't shoot the background plate with the epic if it can shoot up to 300fps? Why did you guys go with the FS700 for that shot?

    Thanks
    Erik

Nice spot, looks good. I'm am also wondering why the background wasn't just shot on the epic at 300fps

because the fs700 looked better at 240.
240 on the epic is a sensor crop and I don't think that it looks very good.

Of course, That's right, it is a crop at 300fps. Good show using the strengths and weakness of both tools. (also you'd probably need less lighting power with the 700, epic needs lotsolight)

Hey Shane - just caught this thread.
    Looks great!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who jumped on the FS700 bandwagon.
