Does anyone have a link to Twixtor for Sony Vegas Pro 11 for download? I was looking on line and it seems that there are a number of people offering this download but I have heard in the past that some of them are scam virus to get info off your computer so I'm just being careful. Thanks

Twixtor is made by RE:Vision Effects, and you can download it from their Twixtor web page. A license for Sony Vegas Pro costs $330 US. ( requires Sony Vegas Pro 10.0d or later )

I haven't used it, but I think the download will work in "demo mode" that produces watermarked video. My understanding is that the key to getting good results with twixtor is:

    - Smooth steady footage ( nothing handheld unless it's properly stabilized )

    - High shutter-speed that matches the frame-rate you want to end up with ( given a 180 degree cine-shutter )

i.e. for 120 fps you would use 1/250 sec shutter or faster, for 240 fps you would use 1/500 sec shutter or faster

Definitely agree re trying the demo version first - every review i've seen agrees that Twixtor can do marvels with some footage but is near useless for other footage (not the tool's fault, any algorithms work better with some input than others). I realise it's a niche product, but $330 is an awful lot to spend, so you want to be sure before shelling out the big bucks.

No problem downloading by right-clicking on the ZIP download link and saving to my hard-drive. ( using the free Opera 12.02 web browser )
