This video seems like a Canon Advertisement. Have the GH2 shoot that same shot and I bet it will look more detailed. The 5DMKIII is a nice camera but sharpness is not one of its strong points.

More detailed or not, you have the GH2 shoot the same shot, you will NOT get the same look.

I just had my mind changed about the 5DMKIII. This video was shot without post sharpening - http://vimeo.com/40117480 Very detailed, nice look.

Now if they want more I will suggest RED, but if not they are always happy with Canon, Panasonic, etc. cameras I use.

Heck on a Major shoot last month where the Client paid for Red, the dp had like 3 extra GH2 camera capturing B-Roll and the Director was fine with it and trusted the Dp's knowledge. Just my experience......
Well of course talents is always the priority. When it comes to filmmakers coming from California or reality shoots and Documentary, like I said, about 9-10 times they are asking for a 5D Mark II. The 9-10 times I am talking about is among all DSLR cameras. I have shot in Las Vegas for the past 4 years and owned GH1's and GH2's and of course a lot of my clients didn't care as long as they saw my portfolio and were happy with it, but when it comes down to Major producers and Directors coming from Cali, they know what they want and they know that if they travel over to Las Vegas and can not find a RED one or better, They have no choice but to get a DSLR to do the job and that is when they choose a 5D Mark II. You can ask Philip Bloom or anyone you want FROM EXPERIENCE, the bigger gigs (hollywood producers and Directors) will choose the 5D. Now if we talk about just cameras itself, I have about 50% of the Hollywood Producers/Directors asking for Sony Ex1 or Ex3 for their reality shoots.

Lets just end this here as it seems like a different world over there..... I primarily work in Music videos and Shorts + editing. Actual cameras here in Florida are really not a concern. If you shoot 5d, 7d, Gh2 or Red everyone knows this and is accepted. If in Cali they ask for something specific that's cool, but I actually work on my own content and have blessed and will continue to do that. Like I said we shoot videos easily in 25k range and we mix Gh2 with Red all the time.

We have shot videos on RED's as well, in fact my wife is a certified RED operator and certified Steadicam operator. Do we own a RED? No! We just either borrow from our friend or rent it. I loved the GH2, don't get me wrong but when you have most of the professional clients requesting it..then of course that is what you go with. Have we mixed up footages with the GH2, I recall on the Manny Pacquaio Documentary by Leon Gast that will be coming out by 2013..that one of the interviews..The Producer Ken Mayer opted to go with the GH2 because the Canon was givng off a yellow tone on a certain shot. Yes, our company has been blessed with many gigs from big hollywood directors/producers, music directors/producers as well and in fact we will be heading to Florida to shoot a "Behind the scenes" DVD for the reality show "Tanked" (ATM) ..we will be shooting at Shaqs place to shoot his aquarium and some interviews. Anyways, Good Luck and have fun shooting.
