Hey there,
I have two 10" 15mm rods that just will not come apart. I've tried freezing them, vice grips w/ pliers, and shouting at them, and nothing seems to get them to budge. I've always made sure to double check that I'm twisting in the correct direction. Are there any tips or pieces of advice out there? I'd really love to be able to port them around separately as opposed to having to find something that will fit the full 20" combo. Thanks!

Two of these guys, twist in opposite directions. Sounds like you already sort of tried that, so if you still can't get them apart, figure out how to make them longer so you can get more leverage. The key is you leverage! Make whatever you're pushing down on as long as possible to decrease the amount of work you have to do.
Or better yet! Find a saw and just cut the suckers apart.

Lock them in a vice, heat the junction with a blowtorch then twist with vice grips.
