I cannot spend no more than $300-$400
I will create a list later today, but any opinions on some good monitors within this price range?
thanks

Might be a bit out of budget, but I recommend looking at the SmallHD DP4 too:

It's the monitor I use and it is just a dream, I use it on everything from my GH2 to RED cameras for some gigs. Simply amazing.Help support my Lovecraft inspired 80s horror film I'm DPing on 16mm:

I agree, monitor looks beautiful. I would want the DP6, but currently I cannot afford it. My decision would be to buy a $400 monitor for now or continue to use the GH2's lcd screen.... I could always sell the $400 monitor and upgrade when I can (couple of months).
Wondering if anyone has used this Sony monitor

Also I might be interested in these as well

Looks good, problem is I have credit at B&H which is the reason I am buying from them.... If they had this monitor there I would buy it, but they don't.
I ended biting the bullet and buying that monitor on ebay. All of the monitors at B&H that I possibly wanted were over $400 and it just didn't make sense to buy a $400 + monitor when I really wanted the small hd dp6. So for now even if not the best I will use this $250 monitor. If it turns out great than good, if not I will upgrade in the future to the dp6. I just really wanted a higher res since the GH2 supports it.
I will update this post when I get it later this week
thank you everyone.Last edited by J.F.R.; 08-12-2012 at 10:42 PM.

I too am looking for a good, affordable monitor for my GH2 and follow focus unit.
Since this does peaking, and provides pretty good color controls I think this is a great buy at the moment.
Unless im doing "film" solely, for general purpose events and weddings I assume (for me at least) this is enough.

I am new to the GH2 but I got this monitor to use with mine. I have not tested it extensively field wise but so far everything looks good.
It has stripes, peaking, false color and an HDMI pass through. I also love that it uses Sony batteries.
