I recently had mine at the same starting price, but mine also had a Rode Mic, Lilliput external monitor, and SGBlade included with it (along with a 8GB P2 card). No one considered it. So I stripped the SGBlade from the bundle and reduced the price down to 1600. I was starting to get hits, but eventually I sold it for 1400 dollars. So 1400-1600 maybe a good place to start

Oh yeah, it's old tech (but P2 cards are still used in newer cameras). Since the HVX200 we've had HVX200a, HPX170, and the HPX250, so I can definitely understand why it's that cheap now. Still love that camera though, I was hurt selling it lol

You'll be lucky to get $1500 for an HVX200P, even with P2 cards.
Ebay is overflowing with used HVX packages, and Adorama is only offering $1100 for them. B&H is selling them at around 2,250 so you could possibly get more from them, especially if you're selling as a trade-in, instead of cash.
I just bought mine a few months ago for $1300 with 250 hours, a 16 GB P2 card, Kata Bag, and Barry's HVX Bootcamp DVDs.
Wonderful camera, but there's no real demand for them anymore.Kyle Fordrung

Yeah, i have a few xha1's, I been pondering selling one, but I dont know if it's even worth it. I think your in the same boat with the hvx. It might be worth just holding onto. It can still produce a nice image.

I'm with maranfilms - you might be better off holding on to it for a while longer. The use you will still get out of it will probably outweigh the paltry sum you can sell it for.
I use my HVX for just about all of my video productions, and my only problem with it is the noise. But you can get past that with "Remove Grain" in After Effects, or the "Neat Video" plugin.Kyle Fordrung

Consider donating it to a charity of your choice that can use it and needs it. Surely there's a church or other non-profit nearby struggling along with an old Mini-DV camera that would jump at the upgrade and provide you with a healthy tax write-off.
