Considering a 2nd body purchase, the 5D2 to compliment my 7D. Am also considering Mosaic Engineering's antialias filter the VAF-5D2.
But before I go ahead and take the plunge with the VAF, would love to see more examples.
Are the results really more filmic?

Any time aliasing is removed, the image is more filmic. Adding a little post grain to bring up perceived texture detail also helps.

but you are paying a price for it. It's not at no cost. 5D is fairly soft, which I like, but no more than I have issues with aliasing and moire (really not very often) I decided it's not worth it.
If you want your stuff to look "filmic" learn how to light as that has WAY more impact than what camera you use.

You should be able to increase in-camera sharpening now that you're not having to avoid aliasing and moiree. If I had a 5D, I think this would be a no-brainer purchase.
