Changing the anchor points in FCPX

When you bring separate audio into the timeline below or above the main story line, the audio, or transition or another clip for that matter will have an anchor point that anchors it to a specific clip in the story line. But if you delete or move that main story line clip everything that is anchored to it will be deleted or moved as well. I need to be able to move those anchors or anchor them to another clip so that I know my secondary media doesnt move around if I dont want it. So the question is how to move the anchor lines or anchor it to a different mainline clip.

Cmd option + click in the new anchor location in the connected clip

This is trivial, but "Anchor Point" technically is the point an object in the canvas repositions/rotates around. "Connection Stem" is what we're talking about here.
