EDIT - DISREGARD applies to micro cards not f Series... The most concerning part to me is for owners of older cams such as the hvx200. From everything I've seen the new cards will not work in the older cams which is fine so long as the old cards are still available. But if the old cards are discontinued and the new cards won't work that's not a good situation.

My apologies for misspeaking ... It was the P2 micro I saw that about.... no such statement for the series F
For the micro: "The simultaneous introduction of a microP2 Card Adaptor assures that the new series of 64GB and 32GB microP2 cards will operate in current P2 hardware*.
"The microP2 card and microP2 card adaptor will not support all P2 products."

Well I can't find the article I had seen before but usually Barry Green is in the know on these things and this is what he says about it: "MicroP2 won't work with the DVCPRO-HD-only cameras (meaning the HPX170, HVX200, and HPX500). It will work on any camera that has AVC-Intra capability. The hardware in those cameras is different. Note, it doesn't have to have AVC-Intra installed (think about an HPX2000) but it has to be capable of having AVC-Intra installed, in order to support MicroP2. So the HPX250, HPX2000, HPX2100, HPX2700, HPX3000, HPX3100, HPX3700, and new HPX600 will all be MicroP2-compatible, although obviously they'll have to use the full card adapter to fit the smaller cards."That could be any number of products, not specifically the HVX-200. Does it mention that model?
