Can anyone give me some tips on what should and should not be on my resume for a job I'm applying for as a Production assistant.

I am only a high school grad but have some television and film skills such as being certified by NOCTI for TV Production, and certified by adobe for Photoshop and premier pro CS5. I also graduated top of my TV production class making it through all 6 class in my 4 years of high school.

I also have experience working on several "productions" such as corporate videos as a camera operator and production assistant. I have also work on several films, one being for the 48 hour film project, one being a student film at the Art Institute.

should I include any of this stuff and what else should I put in there?

Say that you can follow instructions. I'm not kidding. Being able to do what you're told is a very important part of the job.

What kind of PA? If it's an office PA, knowledge about word, exel, etc. is a good skill to mention if you have it.

If it's a set PA, let them know if you have a liscense or not (as some set PAs are drivers).

If you have on set experience, mainly tell them about the professional ones (not helping a friend with his fan film).

Aside from that you don't need 'experience', just the ability to work hard and do the job right. So put what you feel is needed.

They don't specify what type of PA but the job listing stated this
"ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR & PRODUCER: The Assistant to the Director or Producer is an administrator who works directly for and with the Director or Producer during the live production process. They are involved and on hand every moment of the production. They must be well organized, flexible, have an excellent work ethic, phone skills, and above all a thick skin. Candidate should have some camera experience and basic film principle knowledge.

Responsibilities are determined on a moment to moment basis. Tasks include taking notes, caring out orders to personal, making calls, and acting as liaison and buffer to a very busy Producer. Being a great assistant and right hand of the Producer can have lasting carrier impact. Position is credited as Assistant to the Director or Producer."

I wonder if this means, "if you take being routinely called a 'worthless piece of s*%t' personally, then this job is not for you."
