Okay this vaguely related to screenwriting, in that it is always good to understand ways people talk, cultural customs, worlds, geography, etc for story development. There is a music video, an up and coming singer I discovered this past week, Kimbra (she is the guest singer in Gotye's hit song Now You're Just Somebody That I Used to Know). A very passionate singer, she makes full use of her arms and hands, quite interesting.

In one of her jazz singing style music videos I just love (Two Way Street), about romance, she starts out singing "I feel the 4 become 5". I want to understand what that is all about. Because this gets weirder. I looked up the lyrics to the song today. Then, just a few hours later today, i turned on my TV and was channel surfing. I came upon the TV retro channel for just a couple of seconds, rerun of Dick Van Dyke or Lucy Show, something like that, and the FIRST words I hear hitting the channel are "It's a french custom, counting to five." Is that a weird coincidence or what? I know it is coincidence, but i have never heard about that counting to 5 before, ever, and here I encounter it twice in one day, and once by hitting upon a random TV channel at a random time. Spooky. But I want to understand this, hoping maybe someone here knows something about the whole "5" thing?
