Hello - i have NTG2 for my 250.
I put it in INPUT 1 -> turned Line on to INPUT 1 -> selected CH1 (input 1) and CH1 as manual and have adjusted the lever at the bottom to the middle.. it was working a few days ago, now for some reason its not picking up any sound at all!?.
anyone know what im doing wrong? i went to audio settings and made sure its recording 1 and 2... been trying to figure it out all day..
thanks

If you are plugging a mic in, you need to switch input 1 to MIC level. you also need to make sure the phantom power is switched on. (Little switch to the right of input 1 mic/line switch.) Behind the LCD screen make sure you channel 1 select switch is in input 1 (the middle position).

Very few people like on camera stereo mics because they're rarely in the right place for accurate stereo sound - they work fine, they're good quality - but panning a stereo mic attached to a camera can sound very strange and also make listeners nauseous in some circumstances - like if they are listening in headphones.

Standard procedure is to record mono and then centre it and add some stereo atmos to the mix.
