    Hello,

    I have Lumix and Olympus lenses (Gh2 / AF100).
Looking at Jag35 friction sidekick followfocus. I don't want to do repetitive focus, only basic focus
Does anyone has experiences with the sidekick ? I'm afraid I have to push it so much against the lens to work ?
    Talking about inexpensive gear

    Tks,
    Ulisses

It's well made but I found it wasn't quite compatible with some of my Lumix lenses. The problem wasn't pressure on the lens mount. The ff worked in that respect. On some of my lenses the focus ring was too close to the camera and the ff rubbed the camera case. I also found the continuous rotation of the focus ring on the lenses an issue. Not having stops at either end of the focus range screwed with markings and calibration. I sold the Sidekick and bought the Hondo garage cheapie. It's rudimentary but works. Before that I used either a zip tie or a rubber jar opener. They function ok as long as you don't need to mark focus points.

Have you checked the Eldecrone follow focus? I've heard good reviews and it's not that big of the price difference I think.

Well, the Hondo looks good, but I'm not sure about it.
The Edelkrone is very interesting, but it needs gear, anyone bought it ?
