The quality of sony AVC tops Main Concept in the MP4 department but my renders(using GPU) literally slow to a crawl when using Sony AVC. A thirty minute project I had that took 16 minutes to render in Main Concept takes 2 hours in AVC. Any settings I need to alter? I don't see why it would take so much longer when they are both compressed mp4 around the same size. Thanks guys.

Sounds approximately right to me, with equal settings. The Sony AVC quality is considerably better, though.

Disable the GPU option and see if that helps.
