    Naked Scene?

    Hello there Chaps and Chapesses.

I'm soon to be shooting a scene from the lesser known classic by Mike Leigh, "Naked".

The scene is the Johnny Monologue in the security building, which is performed in silhouette, all in one location, one scene. The scene frame looks like this:

    naked9-silhouette.jpg

I'm going to be filming it again green screen, in order to reproduce the effect. (I don't have much time to location scout, so this is my better option).

So I plan to look for a similar background image to key in, question is; anyone have any advice where I may be able to find an image like that there? Or have an insight that I may have oversighted as to how I can attain that effect, with stock, etc.

I was thinking of 3D somehow, maybe I could find a 3D program that has office space in it and just taking a snapshot of it or something...

Any advice or thoughts are welcomed and appreciated.

    Interesting title haha.

Without dealing with 3d, you can find a stock photography of something like that and just play with the brightness of the photo

Wouldn't be horrendously difficult to Photoshop the actors out of the frame grab, especially if you can pull multiple frames that reveal different parts of the architecture behind them.

I was thinking about that, but was worried that the original frame was 360p. Reckon I could bumpfh it up?

Yeah, except for that pesky little 'copyright infringement' problem.

For stock footage that you can use legally, try some sites like Pond5.com or Revostock.com. Or do a search for stock photo websites.

    Good luck!

    It's a KILLER connection!

Guess I was assuming that a redo of a scene from an existing movie wasn't going to be used for a commercial enterprise, more like an exercise...am I wrong? If I am, then there are other copyright issues involved here as well.

Regarding the resolution issue--get the Bluray instead?

You are right, all copyright for the purposes of this have been lifted, so I guess I could nick it for a bit.

It's not available on BluRay mate; guess i'll have to try and bumpfh it up from 360 to 1080, somehow...

Just shoot a random building at night that has inside lighting that gives a 'similar' look. Make sure there is no real identifying logos/marks, etc. and be done with it, especially if this is just for educational value.
