I have a lot of green screening to do with hands and it looks like the light got reflected by the green floor and created a green tint on the hands. So keying the green also keys out the hands somewhat too.

What is the best way to deal with this type of problem?

If possible, reshoot. It'll save you a lot of time in the end.

The subjects seem a bit too close to the green screen for my comfort level.

Keylight in After Effects is a very good keying tool you could give it a try but its very complex as well and requires some time to handle.Reshooting with a lot of distance to the green would probably be faster but i dont know if it is a option.

The solution i figured out by messing with was if i color correct the footage to where the green is taken out of the hand, then key out the remain green in bg. Now to fix the red hands from the color correcting, id also make the bg replacement red so after the final composition is done, id color correct everything to to make the hands normal again.
