Have grid with 12 drops for 12 plugs on individual 20amp breakers 5' apart. 3 26' runs with 15' cross members. Green screen has no grid near it due to permanent lightingbthat will be mounted to ceiling. Strung 350' of mc cable from new panel.
My quest has been to find Kino Flo alternatives to get the studio up and running. I can get nice 6 t8 bulb fixtures and set them up to work, but the hz at 60 in unacceptable for me. (phantom 65 work?)
I like the non.flicker 2400hz ballasts of the kino flo lights ( from what I understand) but is there a way to get the high quality ballasts without buying the fixture? saw some 1000hz driven ballasts in flo lights I think... Still learning about wave and stuff...
Dropping 6k on green screen lighting does not make any sense until I start bringing in some money. Plan to buy the flo lights, later (999.00 each fixture). I do not want to cut ANY corners, but have to balance and allocate $ for materials for build out. In the alternative, if the color is not right, or bright enough, I am just wasting my time.
While I still have some time to purchase and install the fixtures, I would like to attack this problem in the planning stage.
I feel like I am beating a dead horse but is there replacement internal ballasts that can be wired into a 6 bulb unit so Kino Flo type bulbs will not only work but work at the correct temp. And intensity?
