You asked. Where to begin. The acting was terrible, It took about three words to realize these actors have no training or experience, I hate to be harsh, but at times I busted out laughing. Now if that was the response you were going for then you nailed it. The drastic exposure changes were very distracting, and the cuts really dont have a flow what so ever. The scoring was really annoying, the techno thing has got to go. Dont ask me why it just does. And the cgi should have been motion tracked, it doesn't match the footage.

Now the good, I thought you did a really good job on the effect makeup, The fact you set out to do a film, and actually completed it is a huge accomplishment. The flaws above will get better with each film you do. So kudos to getting out there and making a film. If your having fun, your crew is having fun and you enjoy what your doing, then thats all that matters. hats off to you!

You are correct, the actors were inexperienced and have no training. Glad you busted out laughing, especially with the first 3 words because that was a funny scene ;-). That was exactly the response I wanted on that scene!! What "cuts" are you referring to that did not have a flow? Perhaps you can give me a link to something you have shot so I can see how I should do it, ha! All joking aside, I'm glad you actually watched it and appreciate your two cents!! As far as making any changes based on your opinions...no thanks. I just wanted to hear what some other people thought of it good or bad. But, the film is done and will not be changed...not even the DUBSTEP music which I totally love ;-)!! Again, thanks for watching!! I can be saracastic at times...just like you!

Haha awesome acting, I think thats about as bad as it gets. Ditto on everything marran said. Makeup was really good. Way too much use of shallow DOF and way too shallow when it was used. Great job on completing a movie thats a great accomplishment, keep it going. I agree with maran on the scoring too, the dubstep didn't match the tone of the movie or that scene.

Hey Ricky, thanks again for the feedback. Your right unless it was me acting, it probably couldn't have been any worse. The shallow depth of field, shaking hand held camera shots, music, etc. was shot exactly the way I planned. The only variable being that I couldn't line up Christian Bale for my lead. I checked out some of your youtube videos and your right, if I could get John Bowman (your cooking actor) to teach some of my guys how to act, I would be set. The way he was smelling the food cooking and that wonderful smile as he fanned that aroma in to his nose...oh, that has academy award written all over it!! But at least now I know what to get my actors to strive towards!! You should also be proud of yourself that you made a 1 minute and 41 second film that was incredible about cooking that was incredible. The 99 people that have watched that in the past two months really got a treat!!
If you have any other movies that you have wrote, direct, produced, lit, mixed the audio that you could refer me to...I would love to learn some more. One day I hope to make something as incredible as Cooking with John Bowman!!

Thought your film was fun. I have always wanted to make a zombie movie but haven't done so yet but one day I will :-) Here is rough footage that I put together last year on my project that I shot in New Zealand (I'm going to really have to update it):

Honestly everything about your film blew, except for the makeup. The filming was awful, Sound was slightly less bad but still terrible, the acting was terrible, the story was cliche and the score was a joke. I'd be embarrassed to have that where people could see it. But I was trying to constructively criticize your film since thats what you asked what we thought. Cooking with John Bowman is a trailer for a cooking show which isn't on youtube and I specifically told no one to share it until the show was released but nice try. None of the s*%t I do proffesionally is on youtube, those are my little side projects and I can give a s*%t what you or anyone else think about them or even how many views I get. Hey one day maybe you'll be able to make somthing half as good as cooking with John Bowman theres somthing realistic you can strive for. Don't ask for critcism if you can't handle it asshole. I really hope your not doing this professionally.

Bad acting, lighting and worst of all editing. Shots are intercut messed up and after a couple of minutes I could simply take no more.... back to the drawing board for you

Too much stabilization was used to make the film distorted at certain points.
