I recently purchased the Ikan VX7 field monitor for my 60D. I know it doesn't do the scaling like the smallHD or others. That's fine. I got it to use with multiple kinds of cameras. What I'm wondering is why does it not fill the screen when I'm NOT recording? It has maybe half and inch or so of black all around the edge of the shot. I'm set to 1080. Is this a setting on my camera or monitor or is this just the way it is? I expected the image to shrink while recording, but thought it would fill the screen when I'm not recording. Thoughts?
Thanks!

What you describe is pretty much how the 60D works with a lot of tyhe more common monitors like my Marshall. Not a cam setting issue.
