As predicted, B&H did indeed go "above and beyond the call of duty", and as promised, I will continue to sing their praises. I've bought a fair amount of stuff from them and never had a problem before. As far as problems go, this is a minor one. There's about $2k worth of stuff in my B&H wishlist that that I'll be transferring to my checkout cart soon. I remain their happy customer.

I'm very glad to read this and pleased to know this is being resolved to your satisfaction. Thanks for the update and good luck with your insurance company. I know how they love horizontal trees. :-)

The original post was made from no small measure of annoyance, but mostly out of amusement. If the defect had been something common or less silly-looking I wouldn't have even bothered.
